Shimaya, Dashi no moto (Japanese dashi)

Dashi is a typical Japanese broth, prepared with water, kombu seaweed (a dried seaweed widely used in Japanese cuisine to flavor foods) and katsuobushi (dried, fermented and smoked skipjack tuna flakes). Widely used in Japanese cuisine, it is an excellent flavoring for ramen, noodles, miso soup and many other products.
